This course is a general overview of infectious disease control including airborne, direct contact, bloodborne and food or water borne pathogens. Hepatitis and HIV transmission issues are covered. Review cross contamination and safety issues concerning acupuncture, moxibustion and cupping.
This anytime online course is approved for 4 continuing education units for 4 California acupuncture CEUs (category 1), 4 NCCAOM Safety category PDAs, 4 Texas CAEs (2 ethics and safety, 2 business practices/office administration) and 4 CTCMA (BC, Canada) & CAAA (Alberta) CEUs. Not available for Florida CEs. This course has been approved by the NCCAOM to fulfill the 4 hour acupuncturist safety and ethics requirement. Also valid for 4 California Board of Registered Nursing contact hours.
