This clip from CSPAN featured on YouTube gives a better impression of the President’s personal views on preventative medicine. Acknowledging that acupuncture is effective for the treatment of migraines and other disorders, it is interesting to note that Obama knew this information on-the-fly. Overall, it seems that Obama strongly favors preventative medicine and acupuncture. Eventually, this resulted in several states adding acupuncture to basic services required of individual and small group insurance plans through federal health insurance legislation.
